Destination: Discovering Colorado – Day 1

Less than two weeks ago, my family and I traveled to Denver for my cousin’s graduation. Since I have never been to Denver before, I thought it would be the perfect time to explore Denver and the surrounding area. It was such a fun few days, and now I really want to go back.

I took so many pictures while in Denver so I’m splitting the trip into different days. =)

I can’t believe it’s a week since we were in Denver for my cousin’s graduation! How does time fly by so fast?

While we were in Denver, we did so much eating. In between meals, we went on tours and did a ton of tastings. One of the most fun part of our trip was going on a tour at Hammond’s Candies. There was so much candy, all of which were handmade in the factory!

Can you tell that we couldn’t resist buying the chocolate?

I’ve been back for two days from Denver, and I’m already feeling symptoms of vacation withdrawal. I seriously want to be back in Denver right now exploring the city and discovering new places to eat instead of working.

I feel like I need to have something else lined up, whether it’s a local trip or maybe somewhere a little further, so that I have something to look forward to. How do you deal with vacation or travel withdrawal?

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a fantastic weekend! I just got back from vacationing in Denver, and I’m sooo not ready for everyday life to start back up yet. I’ve been so in love with Denver. The atmosphere just feels different. The air feels fresher. Maybe it’s because we were surrounded by so many parks, trees, and mountains. I don’t know exactly what it is. But I really really liked it there.

Happy Tuesday!

I am so excited. Just one more day of work and then it’s time for vacay!

At this moment, I’m still not sure what the weather will be like in Denver. We’ve been checking the weather forecast for days now, and it’s constantly changing. One hour it’ll say there’s snow, the next it’ll rain, and later it’s sunny. So now, I’m packed for all sorts of weather.

It also means that my duffel bag is super packed and heavy for a trip that lasts just a few days.

If you have any more recommendations for Denver, I’d love to hear them!

Destination: Carnival Imagination to Ensenada

I’m sharing more stories and photos from my trip to Ensenada back in February.

Be warned. This post is going to be filled with photos. =)

After Kim (from Sweet Kimplicity)and I stopped in Solvang, we continued down to Long Beach to board the Carnival Imagination, a cruise headed to Ensenada. Since I haven’t been to Mexico, I was super excited. But the truth is, half a day in Ensenada isn’t enough to explore a different culture and experience the beauty of a foreign, which means I have to make plans to go back.

The other day on my way to work I saw this on the window of Sugarfina. Green juice gummy bears! At first I wondered whether the gummy bears are supposed to be healthy or if it’s just supposed to taste like green juice. But reading about these gummy bears online, I think it’s supposed to be healthy. So now I’m so curious about them and want to try them!
