Happy Thursday!

Just a few more days until it’s the weekend again!

And I seriously can’t wait.

I’ve been so sick the last few days. And I haven’t been particularly motivated to do anything. All I want is to curl up in bed with layers of cozy blankets and sleep the day away.

But, let’s talk… cookies!

Cookies always seem to make me feel better. Even though I don’t think I’m supposed to have any while I’m not feeling well. But shh…. Let’s keep it between you and me.

I’ve been wanting to try rolled ice cream ever since I heard about it months ago. I recently had the chance to try it! The lines were super long, but I think it might just be worth the wait. I got the Thai Tea flavored rolled ice cream with some of my favorite toppings!

You can watch a video of them making the rolled ice cream on my Instagram post. Just swipe or click to the last two.

I cannot believe it’s already June!

It definitely doesn’t feel like it in the city. I still see overcast skies and foggy days. But it’s the norm for San Francisco. Drive a few miles outside of the city and you’ll find sunshine and warmth. And summer days.

Just a month ago (seriously, how can a month already go by so fast?), we were in Denver, indulging in all sorts of food. One of my favorite mixed drinks was a grapefruit hibiscus lemonade that I ordered with my dinner. So of course, as soon as I could, I went off to recreate the recipe.

It’s almost the weekend!

Do you have any plans this Memorial Day weekend?

My family and I were thinking that maybe we’ll go to Muir Woods and do some hiking through the redwood forest. I’m crossing my fingers that our plans won’t fall through. We’ve been semi postponing this hike for awhile now, and I really want to go.

I think I’ve been bitten by the travel bug, and since I can’t travel all the time, I want to do little local trips even if it’s just right outside of the city. Just something to look forward to.

Destination: Discovering Colorado – Day 2

Today, I’m sharing the second day of our trip to Colorado.

On our second day, my cousin Linda and I packed our schedule with as many things to do and places to eat as possible. We weren’t even sure if we could make it to all the places we had planned because it wasn’t all in one city.

If you missed our first day in Colorado, you can read about it here.

Discovering Colorado - Day 2

But on our second day, we decided to get up early and have breakfast at Four Friends Kitchen, a Southern inspired breakfast/brunch place. The food was simply amazing, and now I’m seriously craving Southern inspired breakfast.

I absolutely love the late spring and summer season. There are so many different fruits. I especially love all the strawberries that are now available at the farmer’s market. After all the rain we had this past winter, the strawberries are seriously huge. So of course, I could resist buying a few baskets to take home with me.
