“The story continues on stage.”

Harry Potter

My sister and I bought tickets to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. The storyline takes place 20 years in the future with Harry Potter all grown up, married with kids. Since the play is long, it was split into two parts on two consecutive nights. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but it was just sooo good. The storyline and the special effects were so amaaazing. It was worth the price of the tickets and I would highly recommend watching it if you can.

Have I mentioned that I have an obsession with kaya buns, right now? I probably already have.

Kaya Buns

There’s a bakery called Breadbelly in San Francisco that makes pastries that are inspired by Asian flavors. My favorite by far is their kaya buns. It’s similar to the pineapple bun. Soft bread filled with a pandan coconut cream and topped with a pandan coconut crumble. It’s the perfect balance of flavor and so addictive. If you’re in SF, you need to get yourself to this small bakery and get their kaya bun and their kaya toast. Sooooo good.

San Francisco has some of the most amazing views, especially when the skies are clear and the fog has not blanketed the city yet. We decided to climb the stairs up to Grand View Park in the sunset district last weekend to watch the sun set over the city. Anywhere in the city with a good view also means that it’s freezing. So if you decide to make the trek up the stairs for the sunset, make sure to bring a warm jacket or a blanket scarf.

Recently discovered this everything spiced bun at Breadbelly and I’m obsessing over the flavors. Soft bread filled with caramelized onions, cream cheese, and everything but the bagel seasoning. I mean…. the utimate easy morning meal, right?

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I spent my Saturday at a friend’s birthday BBQ in San Mateo. It’s been so nice to be able to take a break from work and enjoy the sun, even if it’s a little chillier lately. Annnd I got to visit the farmer’s market Sunday morning, which I haven’t had time for in awhile. I’m starting to see all the fall produces make their appearance. And I’m so excited for apple and pear season.

Last weekend, I got to go to my first baseball game. We had tickets to the Giants’ game on Saturday evening. While I’ve never been much of a sports fan, it was fun watching and experiencing a baseball game live.

If you’re visiting San Francisco on a clear night, venture out to the Embarcadero. Sit along the benches outside the Ferry Building and you can watch the lights dance and change on the Bay Bridge.

My sisters and I are headed to San Diego today, and I’m so excited for all the things we’re going to eat and see while we’re down there. If you have recommendations, I would still love them! Send them my way, and hopefully I’ll get a chance to explore a new place.

I’m obsessed with all my farmer’s market finds during the summer. All the colors, all the fresh produce, and just so many options to pick from. I saw these baskets of tomatoes and shishito peppers and couldn’t resist taking a photo of them. The colors <3. What are your recent favorite farmer’s market finds?

It’s Friday! And I am so excited for the weekend. I don’t have much planned, but I just want the time off to recuperate. I feel like all I’ve been doing is working back to back days. So I’m all ready for the weekend. Plus, I haven’t been to the Ferry Building Farmer’s Market in forever, and I want the chance to browse through the summer produce.

My friend Emily and I went to a try a new dessert place called Oh Dessert Cafe to try out their souffles. We ordered the matcha souffle and it is the prettiest dessert. But while I love the custard like texture, I wasn’t so in love with the egg-y taste.
