Happy Saturday!

It’s been such a busy past few days and so many more busy days ahead. But it’s been so much fun.

Last weekend, my friend took me out to the View Lounge at the Marriott in downtown SF to celebrate my birthday early. We sat by floor to ceiling windows to get a view of the SF skyline while enjoying some of their signature cocktails. And we basically waited for the sun to set so we can watch the skies change colors.

Life of a Wallflower Recommendations Restaurant Reviews Travel

Destination: Las Vegas

“Go, fly, roam, travel, voyage, explore, journey, discover, adventure.”

Las Vegas | Cooking with a Wallflower

Several weeks ago, we were in Las Vegas for my cousin’s bachelorette party. Although we were in the city for less than 48 hours, we did so much in that short amount of time. From exploring different attractions to eating at different restaurants, we tried to cover a little of everything.

Earlier this week, I met up with my friend Emily, from Emily’s Daily, for some much needed brunch time. Both of us have been so busy with work that we haven’t had time for anything else. So we took a couple hours off to catch up.

Raw Sugar Factory

We decided to eat at a newish brunch place called Raw Sugar Factory because they had green tea french toast on the menu. We’re both obsessed with matcha green tea. And oh my gosh, their drink menu! Guava mimosa, lychee mimosa, lychee iced tea, just to name a few. And that giant hash brown! So crispy, just the way I like it.

I’m so glad that it’s finally Thursday! I feel like it’s been a long week, and I just can’t wait for the weekend to start. But since I work on Saturday, my weekend doesn’t officially begin until Sunday. Maybe it’s because I’ve been sick the last few days and I’m just not as productive or energetic so every day feels extra long to me right now.

But I’m trying to get better quickly since there’s so much going on over the next few weeks.

On Sunday, my friend is visiting and we’re going out for an early birthday celebration. What we’re doing, I’m not quite sure yet. But I’m just excited for a day filled with fun and chillaxing.

In the mean time, let’s talk about these parmesan bacon stuffed crescent rolls. By now, you know that I’m all about the simple things. Especially when it comes to trying to figure out what to serve family and friends who are visiting.

You guys! I’m so obsessed with these homemade bagels!

Bagels and cream cheese are one of my favorite on the go breakfasts. I mean, what can be easier than slicing a bagel in half and spreading a generous amount of cream cheese on both halves? Yes, both halves. Cuz I like my cream cheese on a lot of things, especially bagels.

Happy Saturday!

I hope you’re going to have a better weekend than I will. I think I caught a cold on Thursday. Because suddenly it’s hard to breathe and my throat is sore. I blame it on the unusually cold weather, the hail, the heavy rains, and the strong winds.

Macaron

Even though the weather hasn’t been great, I took advantage of moments when the sky was somewhat clear to hike around Land’s End. And brought along a little snack. =)

It’s March! It’s March!

And I’m super excited and more than a little overwhelmed. There are so many things planned for March. Weddings, memorials, birthdays. Just to name a few. It’s going to be a whirlwind of events the next few weeks.

Plus…. Now that it’s March, is it still too early to pack for my first week of April vacation? Or am I still too overly excited? I can’t help it though! I feel that it’s been awhile since I’ve taken an entire week off to go on vacation. Lately, getaways are just a few days here and there.

Hopefully, by April though, it’s going to much warmer. Because even in the San Francisco Bay Area, it’s been a lot chillier than usual. I’m ready for spring to arrive and for it to be at least several degrees warmer. In the mean time, because I know we all need it to chase away the cold, let’s talk about this Thai Shrimp Tom Yum Ramen.
