Last weekend, we went to the Dicken’s Christmas Fair. I think it’s becoming an annual tradition, something that my sisters and I started last year.

Last weekend, one of my friends, Helen, and I went to Napa Valley for a girls’ day out. Wine country is an amazing place to go no matter what part of the year. But around Christmas time, the holiday decorations are up and at night, the holiday lights are pretty to see.
We stopped at a restaurant called RH Yountville Restaurant for drinks and some light bites. And I immediately fell in love with the decor. Trees growing inside the restaurant with chandeliers hanging over every single table. The atmosphere was amazing and the perfect place to visit for a special occasion.

Every year during Thanksgiving weekend, my sisters and I like to go to a tree lot and pick out our favorite tree. Since trees start selling Thanksgiving weekend, we might as well get one as soon as possible. That way we can get the decorations up on the tree and spend as much time as possible with it. So many options to pick from! But we generally like a fuller tree.

I finally got to try soup dumplings at Din Tai Fung.
I’ve heard so much about this place over the years but never had the chance to go. Or more like, I didn’t feel like waiting in line for hours to eat dumplings. But since it was a weekday, and we were there around opening, the wait was just 15-20 minutes, which is reasonable to me.
The dumplings were amaaazing. There were different ones you can choose from, but I personally like the original the most. Sometimes classic is best. If you get the chance, definitely give it a try.

Have you heard of Mr. Holme’s Bakehouse? They’re famous for their cruffins, a hybrid of croissants and muffins. People line up for it. While they’re good, I personally think it’s a little difficult to eat since it’s big and super flaky. lol. They do have amazing croissants too. Like this raspberry rose croissant. It’s sooo delicious. And isn’t it the prettiest croissant you’ve ever seen?

Last weekend, my sister and I got to go see Hamilton at the Orpheum Theater. Remember how I mentioned that we entered the lottery through the Hamilton app? We won two $10 tickets to the show. And guess what? We ended up with front row center seats.
If you haven’t seen the show yet, I highly recommend it. It was soo amazing. The storyline was interesting and the songs were soo good. But most of you probably already know that from listening to the soundtrack. And definitely enter the lottery for a chance to win super cheap tickets. Go now!
Spinach Mushroom Quiche
Quiche filled with spinach and mushrooms then topped with cheese in a flaky pie crust. This spinach mushroom quiche is savory and delicious, perfect for breakfast and leftovers can be frozen for later.
Happy Sunday!
It’s brunch day, my favorite day of the week! Mostly because it’s the one day I know I don’t have to work. And well, I get to indulge in my favorite brunch dishes. If I could have brunch everyday, I totally would. Unfortunately, that’s not the case.
I don’t know what it is about brunch that I love so much. Maybe it’s because it feels like a luxury. You get to sleep in and then get to eat your favorite breakfast/lunch foods at an hour that’s not too early and not too late. lol. In other words, my lazy day.
