The event center just opened for a few months ago so we were super excited to see it for the first time. The first part of the year is always so odd. It takes a lot of effort to remember that we’re in a new year. And of course, after all the holiday festivities, it’s hard to adjust back to a regular work schedule.

My friend Emily and I decided to try a new restaurant called Per Diem for lunch New Year’s Eve. We haven’t seen each other in awhile and thought a little lunch plus shopping would be perfect for catching up. We ordered the Wild Mushroom Pasta and it was simply amazing. The flavor and texture was so perfect. I highly recommend it.
