I don’t like water.

I know how weird that sounds, but it’s true. I like iced water, infused water, teas. But just regular room temperature water? No thank you.

But water is soo healthy for you, and you’re supposed to drink about 8 glasses a day, which means I have to spruce up water so that I would like it.

The result? This simple cucumber mint lemon water.

Hot Apple Cider | Cooking with a Wallflower

I’m obsessed with apple beverages during the fall. Freshly pressed apple juices are one of my absolute favorites. I will go out of my way to the Farmer’s Market just to get cold freshly pressed apple juice. And during family gatherings, sparkling apple ciders are the perfect choice for a nonalcoholic bubbly drink.

But for those slightly chilly breezy fall days? I prefer hot apple cider. There’s something about it that’s just so warm and comforting.

Chicken Pot Pie Puff Pastries | Cooking with a Wallflower

Oh, oh, oh! I’m soo excited about these chicken pot pie puff pastries!

I really, really hope you still have room on your Thanksgiving menu for one more recipe!

Chicken pot pies are one of my absolute favorites growing up. But we always had the Marie Callender frozen ones or the ready to serve KFC ones. It’s not until recent years, um, make that within the last year, that I began creating my own version of chicken pot pie. Who knew these little pot pies were that easy to make? Or that I could customize the ingredients to my own liking?

Chicken Pot Pie Puff Pastries | Cooking with a Wallflower

Can you picture tender juicy chicken with sweet carrots, parsnips, peas, onions, garlic, and celery in almost every single bite? Seasoned with thyme, nutmeg, and a bit of salt, this chicken pot pie tastes amazingly delish and savory. I’m pretty sure someone can fit all that in one bite, but it’ll be one gigantic bite.

Blogging Tips: How to Use Social Media to Promote Your Blog

Welcome back to my Blogging Tips series!

Today, I wanted to talk about different types of social media and how to use social media to promote your blog.

Blogging Tips - How to Use Social Media to Promote Your Blog

A year ago, before I started blogging, I was definitely not the type to spend my time on social media. It took me years from when Facebook first became popular (2005?) before I finally made a personal account, and that was only so that I could connect with my dental hygiene classmates.

I have nothing against social media, but I didn’t necessarily want the whole world to know what I was up to. Except when it involved food. I don’t mind sharing excessive photos of food.
