My friends and I had lunch at the Rotunda on the 4th floor of Neiman Marcus to celebrate a friend’s belated birthday. Isn’t the view gorgeous?
The food was just as amazing.

Earlier this week, I ordered the limited time Birthday Cake Frappucino from Starbucks. It’s a creamy blend of vanilla and hazelnut and topped with a raspberry infused whipped cream. After a taste, I’m soo wishing that it’s more than a limited time option! The downside? It was pretty pricy.
Speaking of Starbucks, they’re also offering new smoothies and wraps. I might just have to try them.
Fuller House? It would definitely be fun to watch and reminisce.
My last post listed some of my most popular recipes in 2014. As a change in pace, I thought I’d share with you some of the recipe disasters that took place in my kitchen this past year.
Every post (or at least, almost every post) on this blog contains my best photos as well as tested recipes. But not everything comes out perfect, and sometimes, it’s an absolute disaster.
I want to share with you all my fails so that you know that not everything comes out right the first time, that it takes practice and many tries before it looks anything like the photos on the blog.
Let me show you some of the fails that happened in my kitchen.
Welcome back to my Blogging Tips series!
Today, I wanted to talk about different types of social media and how to use social media to promote your blog.
A year ago, before I started blogging, I was definitely not the type to spend my time on social media. It took me years from when Facebook first became popular (2005?) before I finally made a personal account, and that was only so that I could connect with my dental hygiene classmates.
I have nothing against social media, but I didn’t necessarily want the whole world to know what I was up to. Except when it involved food. I don’t mind sharing excessive photos of food.
Our last day in Southern California meant we had to get in a few more bakeries and restaurants before heading back home to the Bay Area.
We woke up early to pack and then headed to Pop’s Café in Downey for one last meal. Pop’s Café is a small restaurant, hidden in a plaza. Even if you’re looking for the restaurant, you might just miss it. That’s what happened to us. The wait was about an hour since we were a big group, but the food was amazing. I highly recommend stopping here if you have the chance.
Eggs Benedict topped with slices of ham and a side of Irish potatoes, which were crispy hash browns topped with onions and bell peppers. So very tasty. Then again, I love eggs benedict. =)

It’s Friday! And I am so excited for the weekend. I don’t have much planned, but I just want the time off to recuperate. I feel like all I’ve been doing is working back to back days. So I’m all ready for the weekend. Plus, I haven’t been to the Ferry Building Farmer’s Market in forever, and I want the chance to browse through the summer produce.
My friend Emily and I went to a try a new dessert place called Oh Dessert Cafe to try out their souffles. We ordered the matcha souffle and it is the prettiest dessert. But while I love the custard like texture, I wasn’t so in love with the egg-y taste.

Is it spring yet where you are? I don’t think Mother Nature has quite figured out yet whether she wants it to still be winter or move forward to spring.
In this week’s finds….
