It’s so difficult to get back to real life after the holidays. If I could, I would totally take all of December off and just savor the magic of the holidays.
My sister and I went to Pier 39 at Fisherman’s Wharf to enjoy the hoilday decorations while they were still up. We spent the day pretending to be tourists and rediscovering the area.
Just a few more days left of 2017 so I thought over these next couple days I’ll share with you the best recipes of the year as well as some of my recipe fails of the year. We’ll start with my recipe fails.
Most of the photos on my blog are curated so that they’re the best of the ones I have and the most enticing. Because how else am I supposed to convince you and everyone else to try my recipe, right? But what you generally don’t see, except maybe in my InstaStory, where my dishes can be disasters in the making. I just wanted to share my fails so that you know it’s not always perfect.
Some of them aren’t too bad while others are… well…. You can judge for yourself.

I can’t believe tomorrow is Christmas!

I’m finally done with my Christmas shopping, but the living room is a huge mess. I have wrapping papers and open boxes everywhere. But I seriously need to finish wrapping all the gifts. Some times I get a little lazy so I just wrap gifts in tissue paper and place them in gift bags.

Just two weeks ago, my friend Helen, my sister Angela, and I went to wine country for another daycation. We wanted to go in December to see the Christmas decorations and lights, but we got a little distracted by the gorgeous colors of fall on the grape vines.
