Noodles tossed in a simple brown butter garlic sauce with melted parmesan cheese. This brown butter parmesan garlic pasta is simple, delicious, and uses pantry ingredients.
I can’t believe it’s already May!
There’s not too much to update this week. I’ve spent the last few days testing out homemade pasta recipes. Just easy ones that require only water, flour, olive oil, and salt. And doesn’t require any fancy techniques or gadgets. So I can’t wait to share that with you. And I’m also mostly reviewing recommendations for when I do go back to work since my full time job as a hygienist is considered high risk.
But what did you do this weekend? How are you passing the days?
It feels like it’s been awhile since I shared a pasta recipe with you so we have to remedy that today.
This particular pasta dish is super simple and uses only pantry ingredients. Pasta noodles tossed in browned butter garlic sauce with melted parmesan in every bite. Lightly seasoned with salt and pepper and crushed red pepper, and you’ll have a deliciously simple meal.
In a medium sized pot, heat water and cook pasta according to the directions on the package. Drain the pasta and reserve about half a cup of pasta water for the sauce. Run the pasta through cold water to prevent it from sticking to each other. Set aside for now.
In a large skillet, add butter over low to medium heat. Once the butter has melted and browned, add minced garlic and fresh grounded black pepper and cook until aromatic and the garlic becomes golden brown.
Add the pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the brown butter garlic sauce.
Add about a 1/3 of the pasta water.
Then add the shredded parmesan cheese. Toss to coat all the pasta with the parmesan cheese and allow the cheese to melt. Add more pasta water if needed. Season with salt and crushed red pepper to taste.
Serve the brown butter parmesan garlic pasta with more parmesan cheese on top.
