Ripe peaches cooked until jam like consistency with elderflower syrup. This small batch peach elderflower jam is simple to make, delicious, and perfect with toast or crackers.
I absolutely love summers for all the stone fruits. And yellow peaches are at the top of my list. But I get so carried away when I’m at the farmer’s market. I buy so much more fruits than I can eat in a few day’s time. So when my peaches become very ripe, the perfect way to use them up is by making small batches of jam.
I mean, anything with peaches are at the top of my list during the summer. So peach jam sweetened with elderflower syrup sounds perfect to me.
This small batch peach elderflower jam is super easy to make with just a few simple ingredients: ripe peaches, elderflower syrup, granulated sugar, and water. You can easily find all of these at your local supermarket. The sweetness of the jam is so perfect on crackers or on toast with peanut butter. Especially since it embodies the flavors of summer.
I think I can eat this jam all the time. It’ll be my favorite summer snack ingredient for awhile.
Place cut peaches into a small pot with water, granulated sugar, and elderflower syrup. Cook the peaches over low to medium heat stirring every once in awhile to prevent the peaches from burning and sticking to the bottom of the pot. When there’s sugar, it’s more likely to burn so make sure to stir.
Cook the peaches until they become a jam like consistency. Allow the small batch peach elderberry jam to cool down before placing them into a jar. Refrigerate the jam for at most a week and a half.
Serve this small batch peach elderflower jam with crackers or on toast.

This looks beautiful. I like that you didn’t use gelatin or pectin. Yum!

I also experiment with jams and I have found that fruits have enough pulp so you don’t have to add any thickening agent. Yes it really looks delicious.

This sounds lovely. I will surely try this. I wonder if this will also work with apricots?
