Sweet and tart fresh cranberries with lime sparkling water topped with fresh pomegranate and mint leaves. This sparkling cranberry pomegranate limeade is festive and refreshing, the perfect beverage for the holidays.
It’s November! It’s November!
Which means I can officially start the countdown to the holidays and not sound weird. Just four Thursdays until Thanksgiving and eight Sundays until Christmas!
I seriously love this time of the year. It’s not just about the food, which I absolutely love, especially since there are some dishes that you only eat this time of the year, or the presents, which I won’t deny that I also look forward to (who doesn’t, right?). I think what I love most about the holiday season is that for the most part, there’s so much positivity. People are in a more giving spirit; families gather together. There just seems to be more reasons to celebrate.
So to start the holiday season off, I wanted to share with you this amazingly simple yet delicious sparkling cranberry pomegranate limeade.
Cranberries and pomegranates are in season right now. With their bright festive colors, they’re perfect for adding to salads, to sides, to entrees, to desserts, and to beverages. In other words, everything.
This festive mocktail is soo refreshing. It’s sweet and tart and bubbly with just a hint of lime from the sparkling water. Simple to make with just a few ingredients and several minutes of your time, you won’t have to worry about the drinks you’ll serve during your holiday gatherings.
Start this drink by creating a simple cranberry syrup.
Add fresh cranberries to a small pot with water and sugar over medium heat. Cook the cranberries until the cranberries burst open and have softened. The sugar water combination will also darken to a reddish color. Allow the syrup to cool down for a few minutes. The longer you wait, the darker the syrup will become.
Once you’re ready to serve the drinks, scoop spoonfuls, about 2-3 tablespoons, of the cranberry syrup into glasses. I used smaller glasses, about 4 ounces, because I like the bubbliness in my drink. The larger the glass, the longer it’ll sit out, and the less bubbliness. You can add more cranberry syrup depending on how sweet you like your drinks.
Pour Dasani® Sparkling into the glass to the rim. I used lime, but there are so many other different flavors to choose from! Dasani® Sparkling is unsweetened and comes in lime, lemon, berry, raspberry lemonade, black cherry, and tropical pineapple. So you can choose whatever you like and customize this drink to your taste!
You can find these 12 oz Dasani® Sparkling cans in an 8 pack at Target in the beverage aisle, but you can also find the 20 oz cans in the checkout lane if you want to try one first!
Add pomegranate arils to the drink. Top the drink with fresh mints leaves. If you want your drink to be extra cold, you can add crushed ice too.
Serve these sparkling cranberry pomegranate limeade cold.
Enjoy!
