As much as I love the warm summer days, sometimes the heat is just too much for me. I was born and raised in San Francisco, so I’m used to the cool weather. When I venture outside of the city during the summer, it can sometimes be unbearable. Especially when there’s a 20-30 degrees difference.

Of course, on those scorching hot summer days, I’m always looking for something cool and refreshing to drink. This jasmine iced tea lemonade is the perfect solution for that.

With the floral notes of the jasmine green tea and the sweetness and tartness of classic lemonade, this beverage is incredibly refreshing and perfect for summer. If you’re a fan of tea lemonade like I am, you’ll definitely enjoy this during the record heat days of summer.

What’s your favorite summer beverage? I’d love to try some of your favorites!

Place a jasmine green tea bag into hot water and allow the tea to steep for at least 5 minutes. The longer the tea steeps, the stronger the flavor will be. Since lemon is a strong flavor already, I like to steep my tea longer so the flavor can develop.

Add freshly squeezed lemon juice and granulated sugar into the tea. You can substitute the sugar for honey or agave or your favorite sweetener.

If you’re looking to serve the jasmine ice tea lemonade right away, crush a lot of ice and add it to the glass. Or you can allow the ice tea lemonade to chill in the fridge for a bit.

When you’re ready to serve, garnish the drink with mint leaves.

Serve the jasmine iced tea lemonade cold.

Enjoy!

It looks and sounds delicious! Here the hot weather we had before is gone and right now I rather need another cup of hot tea – so rainy and windy! I hope the heat wave will be back, I use to drink in summer mint tea, and I know a shop here in Poland, with lot of Indonesian drinks like bottled green tea, wide variety and pretty pricey! I love also Arizona canned teas from the US, these are cheaper 🙂

Thanks! it’ll be 100 degrees and humid today and I’m looking for a refreshing change from our current infusion of mint, basil and lime zest 🙂
