Delicious and refreshing icy cold watermelon blended into a slushie. Sweet with no added sugar, this one ingredient beverage is great for hot summer days.
Yes. You read that right. One ingredient watermelon slushie.
Technically, this isn’t really a recipe, but I wanted to introduce this amazing summer beverage to you in case you haven’t tried it before. It’s one of my favorites.
Occasionally, when I, or one of my younger sisters, crave watermelon juice, and we don’t have watermelon at home, we would drop by a milk tea shop and buy one. It’s usually $3-4 a cup. Expensive, right? I think so too.
Watermelon slushies are so easy to make. They’re delicious and refreshing and a healthy thirst quencher. And did I mention you only need one ingredient? So what are you waiting for? Go out and buy a watermelon.
Cut the watermelon into smaller pieces. You’ll need about 2 cups.
Freeze the watermelon for about 1-2 hours until they are semi solid.
Add the frozen watermelon into the blender, and several ice cubes if desired. Blend the watermelon until it becomes smooth.
Pour the watermelon slushie into a glass, and serve cold.
Enjoy!
