Strong coffee topped with oat milk and a drizzle of brown sugar syrup. This iced brown sugar oat milk latte is simple, delicious, and so perfect for a pick me up.
Kind of obsessed with this iced brown sugar oat milk latte.
I recently tried the iced brown sugar oat milk shaken expresso over at Starbucks and fell in love with the drink. The thick oat milk makes the latte creamy. It has just the right amount of espresso to give you the caffeine kick. And it’s the perfect pick me up in the mornings.
So of course, I really wanted to make my version at home. You can use espresso or strong brewed coffee. Whatever you have on hand. I like my coffee less strong so you can always add a little more if you like.
The brown sugar syrup gives the coffee caramel notes. And I love it. I make enough for a few drinks, but you can easily customize the sweetness of your latte with as much or as little of the brown sugar syrup.
And definitely use oat milk for this latte. The oat milk is thicker than regular milk so it gives the latte more of a creamy texture.
It takes just minutes to put together this drink. And I really hope that you enjoy this as much as I do.
In a small pot, heat brown sugar with water over low heat until the brown sugar has melted and becomes syrupy. Remove the pot from heat and set aside for now.
In a medium sized glass or cup, add strong brewed coffee or espresso to the bottom of the glass. Add ice to the glass. Drizzle the brown sugar syrup over the sides of the glass. Top the glass with oat milk.
Serve the iced brown sugar oat milk latte cold. Add more brown sugar syrup if desired.
