Apple cider sweetened with a touch of cranberry simple syrup and topped with club soda. This sparkling cranberry apple cider is the perfect holiday mocktail.
Less than 20 days left until Christmas!
It definitely doesn’t feel like it, but then again, it never really does in California. Over the weekend, we went to Kenwood and Napa for more wine tasting and to enjoy the view of wine country during the fall.
Have you been to wine country during the fall? If you love summers in wine country, you might just love the fall even more. The leaves change into shades of yellow, orange, and red. The weather is much cooler, which I personally think makes it much more enjoyable. When you’re sipping wine under the hot sun, it’s uncomfortable. When you’re sipping wine in the cold wind, you just need to wrap yourself up in a cozy sweater or a warm blanket. It’s so much fun.
In the mean time, let’s talk about this sparkling cranberry apple cider.
I know that it’s getting cooler, and most of us are starting to embrace warmer drinks like hot apple cider, chai tea, hot chocolates, and lattes. But at holiday parties, let’s be honest, I’m not after the warm drinks. I love the mocktails, the cocktails, the fruit punches because they’re so much more festive. I like to garnish my drinks with cranberries and dried fruits. Of course, crushed ice and mint leaves. So many options!
For this festive mocktail, there are only a few ingredients needed. Remember that cranberry simple syrup I told you to make and store in the fridge? Well, this is where it comes in handy. Cranberry simple syrup, apple cider, and club soda. Plus, crushed ice and sweetened dried lemon wedges for garnish. Make more of this to serve your guests. And it just takes minutes.
Mix together apple cider and cranberry syrup until incorporated. Top the drinks with club soda, crushed ice, and your favorite garnishes.
I used chamomile flowers and sweetened dried lemon wedges. But you can use whatever you like.
Enjoy!
- 1½ cups apple cider
- 4-6 tablespoons cranberry simple syrup
- ½ cup club soda
- Chamomile flowers
- Crushed ice
- Sweetened dried lemon wedges
- Fresh cranberries
- Mix together apple cider and cranberry syrup until incorporated. Top the drinks with club soda, crushed ice, and your favorite garnishes.

Any chance this could be warmed up?

Oh perhaps not. Because of the sparkling nature. I ‘ll try is chilled and hope to report back on Sunday. 🙂

I actually haven’t tried it that way. Let me know if you do. But the sparkling part definitely won’t work warmed up
