Strawberries blended with frozen banana and coconut water to create a delicious smoothie bowl topped with red currants, figs, peaches, and nuts. This strawberry banana smoothie bowl is perfect for breakfast or as a snack.
Most weekends, I’m pretty low key. Maybe hanging out with friends, going out to eat with family, shopping for snacks. You know, the not much to tell kind of weekends. Which is perfectly fine with me because sometimes after a long week of work, I really don’t want to do anything but relax.
This weekend has been out of the ordinary. First, I took a day off from work to go to the Brit+Co Re:Make Summit. And it was soo incredible. I mean, I knew when I saw the speaker lineup and the workshops that it was going to be amazing. But actually being there with all these creatives, all these people who are bloggers, creators, and entrepreneurs, I don’t know how to describe that feeling of belonging. You don’t have to worry about being the odd one out, or being rude for snapping photos and uploading to social media. It’s expected. It’s common. And the positivity during the conference was so encouraging.
And if you’ve been struggling, feeling like you’re not good enough or not talented enough or not creative enough, know that you’re your toughest critic.
The other part of the weekend I will be spending in the Santa Cruz area attending my friend’s wedding. =)
So it’ll be a short post today.
You can find some photos of my weekend so far on Instagram and Facebook. And I’ll share details later.
What are you doing this weekend?
Let’s talk smoothie bowls.
I seriously love smoothie bowls. Mostly because it’s a loaded smoothie.
I mean, you can blend all of your favorite fruits until it becomes thick and creamy.
Then you get to top these smoothie bowls with all of your favorite toppings, like granola, fresh fruits, dried fruits, nuts.
Simple ingredients, easy to make, healthy, and delicious. What more can you ask for in a breakfast or a snack?
Blend together frozen bananas, strawberries, and coconut water until thick and smooth. Top the smoothie bowl with sliced fig, slices of peaches, chopped walnuts, and red currants.
Serve this strawberry banana smoothie bowl cold.
Enjoy!

It was so much fun! But omg, life has been so busy lately, and I can’t seem to get caught up with anything, especially comments on the blog! I bought a reclaimed wooden box for gifting. And then decided to keep it. The inside and the outer edges are blue. But the bottom is just wood. So I use an upside down wooden box as my backdrop. lol
