Puff pastry seasoned with shredded cheese and everything spice seasoning. These cheesy everything spice puff pastry twists are simple to make and perfect as appetizers for guests during gatherings.
Happy Wednesday!
It’s been so hectic lately with so many changes happening, but it’s going to be especially more so this week. I’m actually taking two trips to Southern California this week. One of which is a day trip. So I’m super excited for all the good food, but I also know that it’s going to be an exhausting week.
But let’s talk about these cheesy everything spice puff pastry twists. I am seriously addicted to these right now.
As the holidays get closer, I’m constantly looking for easy dishes to make. Especially with so many holiday gatherings to attend. I want finger foods and easy appetizers I can serve that take little time to make. These puff pastry twists are exactly that. So delicious with simple ingredients and very little prep work.
These cheesy everything spice puff pastry twists are coated in shredded cheese and everything but the bagel seasoning. It actually doesn’t really matter what kind of cheese you use. Just a hard cheese that you can easily shred. I would recommend either cheddar or parmesan. Bake these for about 20 minutes and it will be the perfect appetizer for any of your fall gatherings.
Preheat the oven to 375F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside for now.
In a small bowl, whisk together an egg and milk. This will be the egg wash that will brown the puff pastry twists.
Place a puff pastry sheet on the counter. Cut the pastry sheet into 8 strips and then cut these strips in half. You will have a total of 16 mini strips.
Use a pastry brush and brush the egg wash over the pastry sheet strips. Sprinkle shredded cheese and everything spice seasoning. Press the shredded cheese and the seasoning into the pastry to make them stay.
Twist the pastry strips.
Brush the eggwash on the surfaces without cheese or seasoning. Sprinkle more shredded cheese and everything spice seasoning on the twists.
Place the twists on the baking sheet, then bake for about 18-20 minutes until the puff pastry twists turn golden brown.
Remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes.
Serve the cheesy everything spice puff pastry twists warm.
Enjoy!
