Happy Sunday!

Soo…. guess what my sisters and I are doing tonight? We’re going to see the Backstreet Boys concert! Lol. We’re pretty excited.

We’ve been wanting to catch their concert for awhile now. Seriously, the nostalgia. We even considered flying to Las Vegas earlier this year to catch them during their residence at one of the casinos, but ultimately decided against it since that would mean that we’d have to fly there, book a hotel, and buy concert tickets. This was a much better option. Lol. Super excited to hear them sing live. But I’m starting to feel so old when I realized that their Millennium album turned 20 this year. Lol.

While we’re busy eating in the South Bay and getting ready for a night of old and new favorites from the Backstreet Boys, I thought I’d share with you this strawberry elderflower frosé.

For some reason, it’s been all about the summer cocktails for me this year. From lychee rosé wine slushies to grapefruit palomas, I wanted to share so many cocktails this summer. Maybe it’s because we had an unusual heat wave in SF for a little while, or maybe it’s because I’m anticipating the normal heat wave that comes during our Indian summer.

But it’s August, and I am still enjoying every last bit of my summer while I can. Fresh strawberries + rosé wine. How much more summery can a cocktail get?

What I love about this frozen summer cocktail is that you can adjust it to taste. I personally like my cocktails lighter on the alcohol and more fruity. So less alcohol for me, but you can definitely add more to taste.

Freeze a pound of fresh sliced strawberries with the tops cut off.

Once the strawberries are frozen, blend them with elderflower syrup and rosé wine until it becomes slushie consistency.
