Brussels sprouts tossed with creole seasoning then roasted with bacon and garlic. These roasted garlic brussels sprouts with bacon are soo delicious and perfect as a side.
I’m soo excited that Thanksgiving is just around the corner!
I’ve been planning our Thanksgiving menu for awhile now. Nothing official. Just throwing out ideas so we can figure out a list of things to buy when it gets closer. That way when we do the actual cooking on Thanksgiving Day, we won’t have to run out last minute to the grocery store to buy that one item that we forgot.
Lines are ridiculous the day before and the day of Thanksgiving. Plus, there are no sales so everything is expensive. Or sometimes the store runs out of the items we’re looking for and we have to go to a different supermarket. Can you tell? I’m trying to learn from my past mistakes. Lol
These roasted garlic brussels sprouts with bacon are actually a recipe from my cousin Laina from New Orleans. This is her favorite way of eating brussels sprouts and so I’m making it and sharing it with you guys today. It’s slightly spicy, garlicky, and so addictive.
But then again, I’m obsessed with roasted brussels sprouts so you can pretty much make it any way and I’ll probably love it. I can probably eat a pound all on my own. Just saying.
Oh! And before I forget, there’s a giveaway happening on my blog right now. We’re celebrating 4 years! Just head over to this post, scroll to the bottom, and enter via Gleam for a chance to win a giftcard in time for the holidays!
Preheat the oven to 400F. Lightly grease the bakingsheet with nonstick cooking spray or olive oil. Set aside for now.
While the oven is preheating, cook the bacon in a medium sized skillet until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet, and dab with a paper towel to drain the oil. When the bacon has cooled down enough to comfortable touch, tear it up into bite size pieces.
Toss the brussels sprouts with olive oil, creole seasoning, garlic powder, and salt. The ones my cousins say is a must is Tony Chachere, but do you have a favorite creole seasoning? I’d love to try different ones.
Spread the brussels sprouts in a single layer on the baking sheet. I prefer the flat side facing down so that it would brown well. Scatter bacon pieces over the brussels sprouts and minced garlic if desired.
Roast the brussels sprouts in the oven for about 20 minutes or so until they’ve browned and softened.
Serve the roasted garlic brussels sprouts with bacon warm.

Tried these recently at a local restaurant – they are to die for – even my non-brussel-sprout-eating husband loved them. Thanks for the recipe!
