With flowers in the garden beginning to bloom, it is definitely starting to feel as if spring is just around the corner.

Last weekend, we decided to do a mini hike in the city after our French Quarter cooking class at Sur la Table. Even the skies were relatively clear, it was super cold and winter. But at least the views of the Golden Gate Bridge were clear.

Happy 2020!
The first part of the year is always so odd. It takes a lot of effort to remember that we’re in a new year. And of course, after all the holiday festivities, it’s hard to adjust back to a regular work schedule.
My friend Emily and I decided to try a new restaurant called Per Diem for lunch New Year’s Eve. We haven’t seen each other in awhile and thought a little lunch plus shopping would be perfect for catching up. We ordered the Wild Mushroom Pasta and it was simply amazing. The flavor and texture was so perfect. I highly recommend it.

If you’re in the Bay Area and looking for a place to explore, Filoli in Woodside is the perfect place to go.
My friend Jen and I went to Filoli last Friday for a girls’ day out. I am so obsessed with architecture so I loved walking through the huge Georgian era mansion and admiring absolutely everything. And if you love gardens, Filoli has acres of gardens with so many flowers and plants.

Earlier this week, my sisters and I came back from our trip to San Diego. So many adventures to share with you. Especially all the eating that we did while we were in Southern California. But the highlight of our trip? It had to be the San Diego Safari Zoo. We’ve been wanting to visit a safari zoo for awhile now and decided that we wanted to do it while we were in San Diego. Best decision ever.
I mean, how often do you get the opportunity to feed a giraffe? And be that close to one?

One of my favorite places in San Francisco is Land’s End. It’s the perfect place to explore the coast, watch the sunet, and take an easy hike along the cliffside with views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
In this week’s finds…

I’m obsessed with all my farmer’s market finds during the summer. All the colors, all the fresh produce, and just so many options to pick from. I saw these baskets of tomatoes and shishito peppers and couldn’t resist taking a photo of them. The colors <3. What are your recent favorite farmer’s market finds?

I can’t believe it has been almost a week since our long weekend trip to Seattle. Time flies by too fast, and I wish we could do it all over again. One of my favorite parts of the trip, other than the food, was visiting the Chihuly Garden and Glass. It is so mesmerizing to see the glass sculptures and realize just how many different pieces of blown glass are installed together to create one masterpiece.

It’s berry season! And how can I be anything but obsessed with the abundance of berries during the summer?
I love walking through the farmer’s market and discovering vendors dedicated just to berries. There are so many types, all of which are sweet and absolutely perfect during the summer months. My favorite to eat are blackberries, but my favorite to bake with are blueberries. Which berries are your favorite?
