I’m back from Seattle! And so behind with all the work that I need to do. I stepped away from everything for a few days just to enjoy being a tourist in a new city and basically to eat to my heart’s content. I am so not joking. Never ever let me order food when I’m hungry because I always think I can eat more than I really can. It’s how we ended up with 7 orders of dumplings and 3 bowls of noodles. Lol.
It’s difficult coming back from vacation and going right back to work, especially when it’s a six day work week. But I hope you had a fantastic 4th of July weekend. To rest up and to re-energize. Because that’s what we need. A little break or a little getaway for just a little while.
So today, I’m just sharing a simple all around homemade buttermilk ranch dressing that’s super versatile. You can use it as a dip for your veggies or as a dressing for all your summer salads. And right at this moment, it’s all that I want right now. Most likely because I’ve been eating out the last few a days and need more veggies in my life right now. Lol.
To make this pesto buttermilk ranch dressing, all you need is a few ingredients. Pesto, buttermilk, mayonnaise, and fresh chopped herbs. Whisk together all these ingredients and you have a small batch of homemade pesto buttermilk ranch dressing. It is sooo addictive and perfect for almost everything you want to dip. Let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to allow the dressing to thicken.
Serve this pesto buttermilk ranch dressing with your favorite veggies or summer salad.

- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons pesto
- chopped parsley
- Whisk together mayonnaise, buttermilk, and pesto together. Let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to thicken. Top with chopped parsley or dill.
