Pomegranate juice mixed with lemonade and topped with fresh pomegranate seeds for a delicious iced beverage. Simple with only a few ingredients, this pomegranate lemonade is the perfect choice for a warm afternoon.
I’ve been dying to use pomegranate in a drink. Seriously, how can you not love that vibrant red color? Or that combination of sweet and tart?
And if you mix pomegranate juice with lemonade then sprinkle the iced beverage with pomegranate seeds? You have one amazing drink.
And it’s perfect if you’re looking for a non-alcoholic Valentine-y drink. Red and sweet.
I didn’t make my own pomegranate juice, mostly because I don’t have a juicer, and it’s too much of a hassle to blend the pomegranate seeds and then strain the juice. Instead, I buy Pom Wonderful pomegranate juice. A few years ago, I was absolutely obsessed with their juices since they have so many types, some of which are juice blends. And to be honest, I’m obsessed with Pom brand pomegranate too. Not a sponsored post, I just really like them. I mean, where else would I find huge pomegranates like this?
Mix together the pomegranate juice with the lemon juice and water, and stir. The sweetness of the pomegranate juice will balance out the sourness of the lemon.
Oh! And I have to tell you, I made a mess making this lemonade. As I was removing the seeds of the pomegranate, I accidentally dropped half of it onto the floor, and the pomegranate splattered everywhere. And I mean, everywhere. I found pomegranate juice on the white cabinets, the floor, my arms…. And the seeds were under the stove. You get the picture. Don’t drop that pomegranate.
Place crushed ice into the drinks and top with pomegranate seeds. I like to garnish the pomegranate lemonade with either mint, basil, or in this case, rosemary.
Serve the drinks cold.
Enjoy!
Ill be bringing this to Fiesta Friday!

I have a great love for pomegranate juice, but find that it is only good to my taste when I squeeze it in a compressor juicer… like the ones we once use to extract the juice from citrus fruits. But then the juice is really heavenly, with no bitterness or accompanying tastes. One can drink it as it is, and feel the cells of the body rise to accept the food. A wonderful experience.

We’ve tried that at home before, but I feel like when we whack the pomegranate it seems like the seeds aren’t as whole, that they fall apart themselves. Does it work for you?
