Chewy and fudgy brownies filled with M&M’s Holiday Minis and topped with holiday funfetti frosting and sprinkles. These Mocha M&M’s Brownies are so delicious and the perfect treat for the holidays.
We’re so soo close to the holidays! Are you excited as I am?
I’ve been waiting for weeks now for November to come so that I can start planning, decorating, and baking for the holidays. Now, that we’re well into November, I won’t be told it’s too early to be thinking about the winter holidays. Finally!
These days my kitchen is filled with the warmth of the heat from my oven and the aroma of baked goods.
My favorites? Brownies and cookies of all sorts because they’re so easy to customize and make your own. Not to mention how addictive they can be.
And when you’re working extra days leading up to the holidays, like I do, sometimes you just don’t have much time to bake and need all the help you can get.
So I use Pillsbury™ Family Size Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix to help save time yet still make brownies that taste homemade, fudgy, and chewy. These brownies are so perfect for holiday baking, gift gifting, and entertaining guests.
I love these brownies because they’re chewy on the edges (my favorite!) and fudgy in the center. Don’t tell anyone, but I try to keep the corner brownies for myself. I can’t resist that extra chewy edge! =)
To customize these brownies, you can add M&M’s Holiday Minis to the batter. You can decorate with Pillsbury™ Funfetti® Holiday Frosting and top with sprinkles and more M&M’s. You can even enhance the chocolaty-ness of the brownies by adding espresso powder. So rich with a hint of mocha.
And then to make these brownies perfect for gift giving, you can place the brownies in a Ziploc Holiday Container and tie them up in a pretty ribbon.
Make gifts for the holidays? Check!
Preheat the oven to 350F. Lightly grease the bottom and edges of a 13×9 inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray or vegetable oil. Set aside for now.
In a large mixing bowl, the brownie mix, vegetable oil, water, espresso powder, and beaten eggs. Use a spatula to stir and mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated and appear smooth.
Pour the batter into the 13×9 inch baking pan. Add M&Ms to the top of the brownie batter and lightly swirl the top to cover some of the M&M’s. I added the M&M’s on top rather than mixed into the batter because the M&M’s will sink to the bottom of the pan and melt there. But if you add the M&M’s to the top, it’ll sink right into the batter. Sooo good. You get that extra crunch and chocolate. Yes!
Bake the brownies for 28-31 minutes until the top is crinkly and the edge is crusty. Insert a toothpick into the center of the brownie. If the toothpick comes out clean, the brownie is done.
Allow the brownies to cool before cutting into it. If the brownies are still warm when you cut into them, they might fall apart. I’ll be honest, it’s really hard to resist.
Use a small spatula to spread the frosting onto the top of the brownies. Add sprinkles and M&M’s Holiday Minis on top.
Serve these brownies warm or cold.
Enjoy!
If you would like to give these brownies as a gift, you can pack these brownies into a Ziploc Holiday container or the Ziploc Holiday Bag. Add Dove Milk Chocolate Gifts to fill up the container. Cover the container and wrap with a pretty ribbon. You can attach a card to the gift box, or you can attach an extra gift like a fork or a spoon.
