Pretzels covered in milk chocolate and crushed peppermint candy. This peppermint pretzel chocolate bark is simple, delicious, and the perfect holiday treat.
Only a few more days until Christmas!
I hope you’re having a wonderful holiday season. The holidays hit a little differently for our family this year. Especially with a newborn. There hasn’t been as much time to prepare for the holidays since he arrived a couple weeks earlier than predicted. Luckily, we got our Christmas tree up and decorated before Thanksgiving and started on presents early. Otherwise, I don’t think we would have time for any of that this year.
I did manage to sneak in this peppermint pretzel cholate bark in between feedings though. And I wanted to share it with you since it’s the perfect holiday treat.
If you’re looking for last minute treats for the holidays or for gifting to family and friends, this peppermint pretzel chocolate bark is it. All you need is three ingredients: chocolate bars, pretzels, and crushed peppermint candies.
What I love most about this chocolate bark is that it’s easy to put together, but it’s festive enough for the holidays. This chocolate bark is both sweet and savory with that hint of peppermint that we associate with winter treats.
Let me know how you like it.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside for now.
Add chocolate into a medium sized microwave safe bowl. Melt the chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds.
Mix the chocolate, and then microwave in 10 second intervals until the chocolate has completely melted and is smooth.
Pour the ¾ of the melted chocolate onto the parchment lined baking sheet. Use a spatula to spread the chocolate as thinly as possible.
Press mini pretzels onto the melted chocolate.
Drizzle the rest of the melted chocolate over the pretzels then sprinkle crushed peppermint candy on top.
Refrigerate the chocolate bark for about a half hour to an hour until the chocolate is solid. Once the chocolate has hardened, take it out and break the chocolate into pieces.
Serve the peppermint pretzel chocolate bark as a snack or wrap up as a last minute holiday gift.
Enjoy!
