Homemade buttermilk ranch dressing seasoned with garlic powder and freshly chopped parsley. This garlic buttermilk ranch dressing is delicious as a dip or on top of a salad and can be prepared in just 5 minutes.
Salad dressings are always fun to try. They’re so flavorful and a great way to enhance your salads.
I’ve made so many different types of balsamic vinaigrette, but today, I’d like to share with you the classic ranch dressing.
Ranch dressing is creamy and so addictive. It’s great as a dip for your vegetable platter or a dressing for your salad.
But did you know it’s super easy to make at home? You can customize your ranch dressing to your taste. And you know exactly what goes in it.
To create a basic ranch dressing, you only need two main ingredients: mayo and buttermilk in a 2 to 1 ratio. Doesn’t that sound simple?
But now, because you’re making this ranch dressing, you can customize it to your taste. Plus, you can make fresh dressing whenever you need some.
If you’ve been following my blog for awhile now, then you know that I love the taste of garlic. I put garlic in almost everything. So is it really a surprise that I added garlic to this ranch dressing? Probably not.
I added garlic powder to give this ranch dressing a little garlicky kick. Why didn’t I add freshly minced garlic? I’m not exactly a fan of accidentally biting into raw garlic. =) But you’re welcome to add freshly chopped garlic to this dressing if you like.
You can also add fresh herbs. Finely chop your favorite herbs and add it into the dressing. I used parsley.
All you have to do is stir the ranch dressing and it’s pretty much ready to use. If you like the dressing to be thicker, refrigerate your dressing and allow it to chill for at least 30 minutes.
Serve this buttermilk ranch dressing cold.
Enjoy!

Sounds good. I feel like of the last 500 salad dressings I’ve made, 499 of them have been vinaigrettes. Will have to try this one.

I’ve been away for a bit. Happy to be back to enjoy your yummy recipes and wit. I seldom use dressing as I want to taste the veggies. I’ll certainly add this one to my collection for when I want a little more. Thanks!
