Wallflower Weekly Finds, 98

Happy Saturday!

It feels like this past week has been extra long.

First, the multiple rainstorms we’ve been having in the Bay Area, and then getting sick.

I’m just so glad that both are mostly over. All I ever wanted to do most of this week was sit at home wrapped in a blanket and eat chicken noodle soup.

Chicken Noodle Soup

This was from our window on Tuesday night. You can hear the rain loud and clear even with all the windows closed.

If you’re interest, Angie over at Fiesta Friday created a recipe challenge over on her blog. If you’re interested, you’ll want to head over there and look over the rules. There’s going to be prizes! Will you be joining in on the fun?

Did you see the Bachelor this week?! So much drama!

Yummy looking soup! And I just noticed you mentioned the Bay area. My son just happened to call me tonight to say he’s moving to San Fran. He and his (new) wife no nothing of the area and I hope he can find a reasonable rental there! Ahhh…I will miss them. sniff.

Hi, Andrea! Thank you for including recipes from The Monday Box in your finds for the week! I hope you are feeling better. Winter cold/flu is miserable, but chicken soup should definitely help you on your road to recovery. 🙂 One thing I want to mention is that my recipe you mention for Chinese New Year cookies are for peanut cookies rather than almond cookies. It’s not just a swap, it’s a completely different kind of cookie. For your readers looking for traditional Chinese almond cookies, I suggest these http://www.playingwithflour.com/2014/01/chinese-almond-cookies.html
Thanks again and have a good weekend!
