Many of you may already know, but recently, Selma from Selma’s Table passed away after losing her battle with cancer. She was a big part of the food blogging community, especially in the Fiesta Friday community. Selma was such a positive and friendly person, always finding the time to reach out to fellow bloggers and make them feel welcomed into the community.
It’s hard to believe that someone like Selma whom I’ve talked to so many times over the course of the last year or so is no longer with us. I feel like it was just yesterday that we were commenting on each other’s latest food posts. It’s a reminder to all of us to live life to its fullest and to appreciate the life that we have.
If you haven’t had a chance to visit her blog, Selma’s Table, yet, I really encourage you to do so. She has some of the most amazing recipes posted, many of which are unique in flavor.
Some of the recipes I loved are linked below.
This Smoky Spicy Roasted Corn Soup.
This Feta Sundried Tomato and Thyme Scones.
This Lemon and Saffron Semolina Cake.
This wholemeal Sourdough Bread.
This Peach and Amaretti Crisp.
If you’ve met Selma, and would like to write a tribute or dedicate a post to her, you can participate at Fiesta Friday, foodbod, The Not So Creative Cook, and birgerbird.
Selma will be missed by all of us.
