Cooking with a Wallflower

About

Andrea Giang

Welcome to my site!

My name is Andrea. I’m a registered dental hygienist with an obsession with food. I can’t stop talking about it (ask my friends!) or looking for my next favorite dish whether it’s from a restaurant or made in my own kitchen. While I’m not working in a dental office, I can be found cooking and photographing food in my kitchen.

This blog will feature tons of recipes, weekly finds, blogging tips, and occasional peeks into my personal life.

I hope that you will enjoy browsing through my blog and experimenting with food recipes. I know that it can be difficult to find time to cook when you’re balancing so many other things in your life, but my hope is that you will find that cooking can be fun, relatively simple, and stress free. Because really, why would we want to add extra stress in our lives, right?

I want my readers to be able to have fun cooking as well as enjoy what they eat. After all, what’s the point of eating if you don’t like what you eat? Which means just because I use certain ingredients in my recipe does not mean that you can’t substitute in some of your favorite ingredients. I’ll even make suggestions for inspiration.

Anyways, have fun and enjoy yourselves!

If you have questions or comments and would like to contact me, please feel free to email me at cookingwithawallflower@gmail.com, message me on Facebook, or send me a Tweet. I’m sure we’ll get to know each other well really soon! =)

Thank you, Andrea for visiting my blog! And all I can say about your blog posts is YUMMY!
Is there a certain style of food you’re focussing on or do you love all sorts of food?

Hi Aimee! Thanks for visiting my blog! I love all sorts of food and all the recipes I’ve posted are things that I want to eat or eat on a regular basis. But my main focus is quick and easy and mostly (not always) healthy recipes for people who don’t know how to cook or don’t have time to. That way cooking can be fun instead of a hassle =)

Sounds good! Wish there was “blogging” back in my days when I was in college. Top Ramen & popcorn were the creative means of eating. Though I somehow managed to turnout eating/living a healthy life. I know better now! 😉

I spent my college days making large amounts of food and microwaving it over a course of a few days because I didn’t have time to cook. It’s why I decided on doing “quick and easy” recipes. And to be honest, I love the taste of ramen in general. If it weren’t so bad for us, I’d eat more of it. lol

    Hi Andrea,

Thanks for visiting my blog again! I’m on the lookout for some recipes as it happens, mainly dishes with legumes, rice and veggies. One pot meals especially. I’m looking for healthy meals I can prepare with ingredients that don’t require refrigeration!

I’ll keep an eye on your blog and see what recipes you have coming up, but feel free to point me in the right direction if you have something that might fit the bill already! I’ll start looking 🙂
