Welcome to 2016!
SO weird to write that.
How did you celebrate the new year? I just had a quiet night in and watched the ball drop on tv. I was not brave enough to face the crowds, especially in the city.
The other day I was shopping downtown with my friend Jen, and we wandered into Sugarfina, which features many imported gourmet sweets. They were out of my favorite Champagne Bears which I wanted to get as a gift, but then I saw these. Apparently these limited edition Champagne Bears were covered in edible gold. Would you try these? lol
I love that I could slice these Funfetti Slice n Bake cookies, place them on a baking sheet, and then into the oven. Which means I get cookies whenever I want. Yes!
It’s after the holidays which means I get super lazy about cooking. This Parmesan Garlic Spaghetti is the perfect solution for those lazy weeknights.
After my trip to New Orleans, I miss everything Cajun so this Cajun Shrimp and Sausage Skewers would totally make my day.
I love the garlic noodles in all form so I can’t wait to give these Asian Garlic Noodles a try.
I can see myself becoming addicted to these Raspberry Oatmeal Crumble Bars.
Ooh, this Spicy Grapefruit Margarita sounds amazing.
This Hot Chicken Philly Cheesesteak Dip looks so delish!
Need a healthy dish to start off the new year after all that indulging over the holidays? How about this Chicken and Zucchini Noodle Caprese?
I love persimmon, but never thought to bake them in bread. This persimmon spice bread looks so good! Plus it’s vegan and gluten free.
I love the uniqueness of this kumquat raspberry rose champagne sparkler!
This almond ricotta pea mint puree and caramelized onion prosciutto crostini sounds soo tasty!
I can’t wait to try this Brussels Sprouts Gratin.
I will gladly wake up early in the morning for this Waffle with Berry Compote.
Chicken Fried (Cauliflower) Rice sounds simple and healthy.
I think I’ll need this Thai Coconut Soup with Shrimp Tom Kha Goong to stay warm this winter.
This orange cranberry muffin is perfect for breakfast.
I’ll also want this Cheesy Broccoli Cheddar Soup to keep warm.
Oh, how amazing does this Warm Butternut Squash Dip with Gruyere and Pistachios sound?
Oh my god! Chicken Pot Pie in Potato Skins! What?! I need this in my life now.
This Strawberry Bellini! I wish I’d discovered it earlier for my New Year’s celebrations.

You had me at champagne gummy bears!

Edible gold?! Perhaps it would be more prudent to scrape it off and resell it. $100 may not seem so daunting then!

No bears because of the gelatine, but definitely the champagne…I bought a few bottles to celebrate my 50th when I lived in Beijing and my visiting Aussie friend and I enjoyed a lovely drop of this champagne..very special. Lots of great sites on this post, thank you Andrea very interesting – brussel sprouts gratin – sounds great.

Haha, no, I wouldn’t try the bears. I don’t like gummy bears though. I would happily drink the champagne, hold the bears!

I don’t like gelatine based sweets at all, although I’d be curious to know what gummy bears at $100 a pop would taste like.

I have never seen a champagne bear!! How big are they? I certainly would want to try it, although 100 dollars a bear seems pricy! Happy New Year!
