Welcome to my site!
My name is Andrea. I’m a registered dental hygienist with an obsession with food. I can’t stop talking about it (ask my friends!) or looking for my next favorite dish whether it’s from a restaurant or made in my own kitchen. While I’m not working in a dental office, I can be found cooking and photographing food in my kitchen.
This blog will feature tons of recipes, weekly finds, blogging tips, and occasional peeks into my personal life.
I hope that you will enjoy browsing through my blog and experimenting with food recipes. I know that it can be difficult to find time to cook when you’re balancing so many other things in your life, but my hope is that you will find that cooking can be fun, relatively simple, and stress free. Because really, why would we want to add extra stress in our lives, right?
I want my readers to be able to have fun cooking as well as enjoy what they eat. After all, what’s the point of eating if you don’t like what you eat? Which means just because I use certain ingredients in my recipe does not mean that you can’t substitute in some of your favorite ingredients. I’ll even make suggestions for inspiration.
Anyways, have fun and enjoy yourselves!
If you have questions or comments and would like to contact me, please feel free to email me at cookingwithawallflower@gmail.com, message me on Facebook, or send me a Tweet. I’m sure we’ll get to know each other well really soon! =)

Hello Andrea. Greetings from Belgium. I am impressed with the nice photos that go along with each of your recipes. They are as good as some of the glossy cooking magazines. I am glad you enjoyed my pictures from Japan.

Hi Andrea> Thanks so much for liking my Scattered Dreams poem on my Poetry Blog. I am very new to blogging and am especially appreciative of your Blog Hints posts here — will reread them tomorrow. When I look at my site, I only see how readers can Follow (I do have that widget) and like an individual post. Other sites I see have pins by each post that include Press, Facebook, etc. I am especially interested in putting a Pinterest button by my posts. How do I go about putting those kinds of pins by my posts? Any help would be greatly appreciated. while I’m not int it to rack up followers and have tons of views, it would be nice to increast my reach. If you read my About, you’ll see more about me….I’m taking poetry classes and enjoying myself immensely — did about two days of tutorials and got my site up and running. I did create a similar Facebook page….and my Word Press posts go to that facebook page….I’m guessing I should put more things on my FB page that relate to poetry but are not my poems? Suggestions?
Again, Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide — and will read your posts on blogging more carefully tomorrow. In the meantime, I continue to love writing and posting!

Hi Lillian! I’m soo sorry it took me this long to reply to your comment. If you’re looking for the Pin button next to photos, that only happens if you’re self-hosting. It’s a plug-in for self-hosted sites. However, if you’re looking for the Press and Pinterest button that’s usually found at the bottom of the post, go to your dashboard, click on settings, and then click on sharing. You are then able to enable all the social media sharing buttons on that page. Hope that helps. I don’t know much about poetry, but I think with a Facebook page, you can share whatever you like that pertains to your blog. It’ll keep people interested and coming back. =)
