Welcome to my site!
My name is Andrea. I’m a registered dental hygienist with an obsession with food. I can’t stop talking about it (ask my friends!) or looking for my next favorite dish whether it’s from a restaurant or made in my own kitchen. While I’m not working in a dental office, I can be found cooking and photographing food in my kitchen.
This blog will feature tons of recipes, weekly finds, blogging tips, and occasional peeks into my personal life.
I hope that you will enjoy browsing through my blog and experimenting with food recipes. I know that it can be difficult to find time to cook when you’re balancing so many other things in your life, but my hope is that you will find that cooking can be fun, relatively simple, and stress free. Because really, why would we want to add extra stress in our lives, right?
I want my readers to be able to have fun cooking as well as enjoy what they eat. After all, what’s the point of eating if you don’t like what you eat? Which means just because I use certain ingredients in my recipe does not mean that you can’t substitute in some of your favorite ingredients. I’ll even make suggestions for inspiration.
Anyways, have fun and enjoy yourselves!
If you have questions or comments and would like to contact me, please feel free to email me at cookingwithawallflower@gmail.com, message me on Facebook, or send me a Tweet. I’m sure we’ll get to know each other well really soon! =)

Andrea, I have been meaning to contact you for awhile. First, thank you for being such a wonderful supporter of my new blog! I can relate to everything you have mentioned in your blogging tips, even using the iPhone as your camera! My daughter is in college in another state, so we are paying very high out-of-state tuition and have to be careful about spending money. It has been especially challenging for me, because I was not a social media or computer person and had to learn and do everything by myself. Second, you remind me of a younger me. I am also a dental hygienist, but for many more years and have practiced in three states, including California. Congratulations on getting your license and good luck in finding full-time work! Finally, your parents should be so proud of you! I can tell by your blog that you are a hard worker; but more importantly, you are such a nice and giving person. Wishing you all the best!

Hi! I’m so glad that my blogging tips are helpful. And I can understand the need to save money for school. I spent so many years in school, and now that I’m done, I have to start paying back all the loans.
To be honest, I wasn’t much of a social media person either before I started blogging. I only had Facebook, and I rarely ever used it. A few months after I started my blog, I thought it’d be a good idea to start using social media to my advantage so I opened a Twitter, Instagram, Google+ for that purpose. lol.
Thank you so much for your good wishes. It feels so different moving from working on patients in school and in low income clinics to working in private general practice offices. It takes some getting used to. And it’s difficult to find a full time job right now it feels.
Good luck with your blog! If you have any questions, please feel free to message me or send me an email. I’d love to help!

Greetings from New England–
Just wanted to thank you for your visit to my blog. Your site touched a chord in that my daughter is a gourmet soup maker in Brooklyn. She’s the owner/chef of thesplendidspoon.com. Not a plug, but also wanted to wish you continued success with all your pursuits and blogging!

Thank you so much! I visited the Splendid Spoon, and I’m so amazed by the site that your daughter, Nicole?, is running! I didn’t even know about soup cleanses. I’ll have to look into it. Thanks for sharing her site with me =)
