Old fashioned oats cooked in chocolate nut milk and topped with toasted nuts, fresh blood oranges, and berries. This chocolate oat breakfast bowl is a healthy way to start your mornings.
Ingredients
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup chocolate nut milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • ½ - 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 blood orange, skin removed and segmented
  • ⅛ – ¼ cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1-2 tablespoons dried cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts
Directions:
  1. In a small pot, add old fashioned oat and water over medium heat and bring it to a boil. Then add the chocolate nut milk. Stir continuously with a spoon to prevent the oatmeal from becoming burnt at the bottom. Cook for about two minutes until the oatmeal is softened to your liking.
  2. Stir in the brown sugar until it is evenly distributed.
  3. Place the oatmeal into a bowl.
  4. Top with blood orange, blueberries, dried cranberries, and chopped nuts.
  5. Serve the chocolate oat breakfast bowl warm.
