Apple Cinnamon Coffee Cake

Moist coffee cake filled with apples and topped with cinnamon streusel. This apple cinnamon coffee cake is delicious and perfect for pairing with coffee or tea.
  • ½ cup salted butter
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cups chopped apples

  • ¾ cup all purpose flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  5. Transfer the batter in the prepared baking pan.
  6. In a small bowl, add all purpose flour, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and butter. Mix together with your hands until a crumbly mixture forms.
  7. Evenly sprinkle the streusel over the batter. Transfer to the oven bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Serve warm or at room temperature with your favorite coffee or tea.
