Ingredients
Brewing Tea
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons loose oolong tea leaves
  • 1 tablespoon loose jasmine tea leaves
Brown Sugar Syrup
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup water
For each serving
  • 1½ - 2 cups brewed tea
  • ¼ cup half and half/whole milk/ non dairy alternative, more or less to taste
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar syrup, more or less to taste
  • Crushed ice
Directions:
  1. In a medium sized pot, add about 4 cups of water and bring it to a low boil. Add jasmine tea leaves and oolong tea leaves to the water. Let it steep for at least 5 minutes.
  2. Allow the tea to cool down before straining.
  3. While the tea is cooling, make the brown sugar syrup. In a small pot, add brown sugar and water and melt the sugar over low heat. Stir to prevent the sugar from sticking to the bottom of the pot. Let the brown sugar cool to thicken.
  4. Pour the cooled tea into a glass and top with half and half, whole milk, or non dairy milk of choice.
  5. Spoon the brown sugar syrup and drizzle it over the sides of the glass.
  6. Serve the brown sugar jasmine oolong milk tea with crushed ice.
