Flower Pressed Jasmine Tea Shortbread Cookies

Jasmine tea infused short bread cookies pressed with fresh flowers and dusted with powdered sugar. These flower pressed jasmine tea shortbread cookies are delicious and perfect for entertaining.
  • 2 sticks butter
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 bags jasmine green tea
  • fresh edible flowers
  • powdered sugar
  1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. In a medium sized mixing bowl, cream together butter and powdered sugar until smooth. Add all purpose flour and salt. Break open a jasmine green tea bag, and add all the contents of the tea bag into the batter. Discard the tea bag. Mix until the cookie dough comes together.
  3. Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface until it’s about ¼ inch thick.
  4. Cut out the cookies into circles with a cookie cutter or shape with your hands. Place fresh flowers on top, then lay parchment paper on top, and use a rolling pin to press the flowers into the cookie.
  5. Place them onto the baking sheet, and bake for about 20 minutes until the edges have browned.
  6. Dust powdered sugar on top.
  7. Serve these flower pressed jasmine tea shortbread cookies with your favorite tea.
