Serves: 4 bagels or 8 bagel bites

Ingredients
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup honey Greek yogurt
Eggwash
  • 1 large egg, beatened
  • 1 tablespoon milk
Seasoning
  • Generous amount of everything but the bagel seasoning
  • Sesame seeds
  • Cream cheese
Directions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 375F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray the surface with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add all purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Use a whisk to mix well.
  3. Drain the yogurt if there is any liquid accumulating at the top. You want as little liquid as possible to be added to the dough. Add honey Greek yogurt to the mixing bowl, and use a fork to mix until all the ingredients are well combined.
  4. Generously dust a flat work surface with all purpose flour. Lightly cover your hands with flour so that the dough doesn’t stick to your hands. Place the dough onto the work surface and knead the dough several times until the dough is no longer super sticky and doesn’t stick to your hands. Add more flour to your work surface as needed.
  5. Once the dough is ready, divide the dough into four even balls. Roll the balls into ¾ inch thick ropes and then join the ends together to form a bagel. Or break each of the balls in half and roll those into balls to create bagel bites instead.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together egg and milk. Brush the egg wash over the top of each of the bagels or bagel bites. Sprinkle a generous amount of everything but the bagel seasoning over the bagels.
  7. Bake these homemade everything bagels for about 25-28 minutes until the tops of the bagels are browned.
  8. Serve these homemade everything bagels with cream cheese or your favorite ingredients.
