Warm bread filled with fresh apples and swirls of cinnamon sugar. This apple cinnamon bread tastes like fall in every delicious bite.
Ingredients
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
Apple cinnamon swirl
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1½ cups finely chopped apples
Directions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Lightly grease a 9x5 inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray or vegetable oil. Or line it with parchment paper so that the length overhangs on the sides.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add brown sugar, granulated sugar, sour cream, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract. Use a whisk to mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, combine all purpose flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
  5. In the now empty small mixing bowl, combine chopped apples, melted butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon.
  6. Pour the half the batter into the loaf pan. Next, add the apple mixture. Then pour the rest of the batter over the apple mixture. Use a knife to swirl the batter a little to distribute the apple mixture in the batter.
  7. Bake the apple cinnamon bread in the oven at 350F for about 45-50 minutes. Test the loaf for its readiness by inserting a toothpick through the center. If the toothpick comes out clean, the bread is ready. Allow it to cool for about 10-15 minutes before slicing into the bread.
  8. Serve slices of apple cinnamon bread warm with coffee or tea.
