Alabama Fire Crackers

Saltine crackers tossed with olive oil and various of spices. These Alabama Fire Crackers are so delicious and perfect for snacking.
Ingredients
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons crushed red pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons ranch dressing mix
  • 1 cup olive oil, or vegetable oil
  • 2 sleeves of saltine crackers (8 ounces)
  • Pinch of salt, more to taste
Directions:
  1. In a large ziploc bag or vegetable bag, add onion powder, garlic powder, ranch dressing mix, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Shake the bag to make sure that all the spices are completely mixed. Pour in the olive oil or vegetable oil.
  2. Shake the bag to make sure that the seasonings are well incorporated in the olive oil. Add saltine crackers to the bag, and shake until all the crackers are well coated with the olive oil and spices.
  3. Let the crackers soak in the seasoning for at least a half hour. The longer the crackers sit, the more flavorful they will be.
  4. Preheat the oven to 275F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Place all the crackers on the baking sheet. It doesn’t have to be a single layer. Sprinkle a pinch of salt on top.
  6. Bake the crackers for about 20 minutes. Remove the crackers from the oven and let them cool down to room temperature before serving.
  7. Serve these Alabama Fire Crackers as a snack.
