Fresh cranberries burst in a simple syrup. This cranberry simple syrup is perfect for flavoring any winter holiday beverages.
Ingredients
1 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup fresh cranberries
Directions:
In a small pot, add water and granulated sugar over low heat. Stir to dissolve all the sugar. Once the simple syrup comes to a simmer, add fresh cranberries and cook them for a few minutes until the cranberries all burst open. Remove the cranberry simple syrup from heat and set aside until they’ve cooled to room temperature.
Pour the cranberry simple syrup into a mason jar and refrigerate for up to a week.
