Slightly minty and bubbly with a hint of lemon ginger ale soda that is perfect for Valentine’s Day.
This will be the first of a few Valentine’s Day related posts for those who are looking for something quick and easy yet special for the 14th of this month =). This beverage recipe is so simple that it’ll take you less than 5 minutes to make. Yet it looks amazing with the bright red color, perfect for Valentine’s Day.
You need only a handful of ingredients: one cup ginger ale soda, ½ cup cranberry apple juice (or cranberry juice), one tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon, a few mint leaves, and several ice cubes. That’s it. All you have to do is mix and place into a pretty glass or mason jar.
This drink tastes amazing. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I have trouble drinking soda because it’s so bubbly. The carbonation is just too strong for me so I usually let my soda sit out for a bit before I can drink it. However, you won’t find that in this drink. Mixing ginger ale soda with cranberry juice, lemon, and ice take away some of the bubbly-ness. If you let the soda sit for a bit, the mint flavor from the mint leaves will seep into the drink, giving a hint of mint. The lemon juice adds a slight sour yet refreshing taste to the drink, and the cranberry apple juice provides a slightly tart and a bright red color to the beverage. Combined together, it’s the perfect drink for Valentine’s Day with no alcohol.
Add 1 cup of ginger ale soda and ice to a glass or a mason jar.
Add ½ cup of cranberry apple juice.
Add lemon juice and mint leaves.
That’s it. You’re done. Quick and simple, right?
Serve cold with ice. Enjoy!

Pomegranate molasses?? Not quite sure what that is. Is it a commercial mix or something one mixes in your own kitchen??
A can of ginger-ale swizzled with a little pomegranate molasses to taste is pretty good, too! xoM
Oh yum! That sounds really good. I love pomegranate. But I’ve never used molasses before so it’ll be fun to try.
No, there is such a thing as pomegranate molasses. One product, not two mixed. The brand is Al Wadi. Look for it in Middle Eastern grocery stores or online. Good luck! xoM
I will try to find it…..not too many middle eastern food shops in my area of Oz!
Good luck!
Cranberry lime and soda is my standard drink when I go out, because I don’t drink much alcohol. I will have to try this one at home. Plus thanks for visiting my blog 🙂
Thanks for visiting KenMaursCorner ! Regards your Valentine drink, why not substitute “normal” soda water or even sparkling mineral water for your ginger ale soda? You could always add a dash of grated ginger if you want extra “bite”!
I used what I had in the kitchen at the time. But thank you so much for your suggestion! I have never made my own ginger ale before. But I’ll have to give it a try =)
I’m totally going to make some of that stuff, it looks awesome, and you even managed to get some mint in there!
Thanks! I’d love to know what you think if you do try it =)
love the recipe and the design 🙂
Thanks!
Perfect for Valentines Day. I love your first photo with the mint 🙂
Thanks for visiting! =)
